Christmas around the house

Hey there,
Christmas is in full swing around here.  Most days, there are boxes, wrapping paper and packages just waiting to be wrapped.  I am on the hunt for the "perfect" gifts for everyone and really feeling like time is just moving way too fast.  I wish that slowing down was something you could just go to the store and buy and push a button and poof.... time has now slowed.... ahh wouldn't that be an awesome gift? Nevertheless, time marches on and we go right along with it.  I think that one of the things that I would like to work on in the future is savoring the moments a little better.  I do try to do that now to a certain extent but it just seems like I am still so busy most of the time.  Anyhoo, lets have a look around for some inspiration shall we.

This was my newest Christmas decor this year and it was given as an early Christmas present by my soon to be daughter in law.  It really is my new favorite decoration.  This will be in my Christmas decor forever :).

See that cabinet, that was a Craigslist purchase over the summer.  This is originally from Pottery Barn and was way too pricey for me, but I snagged it for $300.00 on CL!  Have I mentioned how much I love CL?
I did snag some new pillows this year from Ross of all places.

We have a couple of extra stockings this year since my soon to be daughter in law and my newest grandson moved in with us.
It has been hectic at times around here but the blessings far out number the kinks.  I mean look at this face.....
This was taken at about 2:00am when I was giving his momma a break and letting her sleep.  I don't mind loosing a little sleep if it means I get to hang out with this little man.
This was taken before we put the ornaments on.  We always decorate the whole house first, leave the tree and have a special get together to let the kids decorate the tree. I'll  probably do a post on just the tree next.
I love it when it's time to light the fire and sit with a good cup of coffee.

This rocker was another Craigslist find..$20.00!

I picked up this banner at the Target dollar spot.

This santa was given to me by mom several years ago.  She had it for years.  I believe he is at least 25 years old.
This one hubby picked up for me last year from Hobby Lobby.

This is the tree in the office.  I found that little sled at Salvation Army for $2.00.

I didn't do a lot to the master bedroom, only the garland and lights on the bed, the new pillow and then added the Christmas tree.

Well that's it for now, I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season, and enjoying being with those you love.
Blessings to you,
