Fall on the Porches

Hey there,
I know that it has been incredibly long since my last post in January.... I guess I lost my mojo.  There are a variety of reasons why I have not been posting that I may share sometime in the future, but for the moment, lets just say I did loose my mojo and well, I have missed this little blog.  I have started and stopped this post as a matter of fact several times and just decided to just go ahead and dive in.  I know I am late to the party and as we speak have boxes for Christmas decor sitting all around. Perhaps you will see something that will inspire you currently or in the future.  Thank you to those of you who checked in on me to make sure that I was still alive and to let me know that they were thinking of me.  I was humbled to say the least. The connections that I have formed with this little blog has been something that I will always treasure.  OK, with all that being said, lets get on with the inspiration.
Lets start with the front porch.

I made this little planter using an old military box and added some feet to it.
Over the summer I had planted some herbs in it but the front porch has the afternoon sun and they all just cooked.  It smelled like a pizza parlor when people came over from the warmed herbs.

It worked well as a place to fill with pumpkins.

I ended up adding several real pumpkins on either side of the porch bit didn't get a full picture.
Moving on to the back porch..
This year I finally got the sectional that I have been wanting for years now. I ordered this from Home Depot and highly recommend it.

It is sturdy and comfortable, as a matter of fact I have taken a nap or two on it and even slept all night on it.
I dressed the porch up to make it feel like an outdoor room.
This rocking chair was a Craigslist find and I think it goes well with the sectional.

We have had several gatherings out there and I believe that it is one of my favorite spaces. Seriously if you are in the market, you cant go wrong with the sectional.

Well, that's all I have for now, but I am already working on my next post.  Hopefully I will get it posted shortly after the election.  (Don't even get me started on that subject... I will be so glad when this election is history)
By the way, something else has been happening in my absence.... Meet my newest Grandchild, Lucas.

We are overjoyed with our newest little man.
Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to visit and I hope that you will come back soon.
Blessings to you,
