Summer thrifty scores

Hey there,

I thought that I would take a moment to highlight
some of the awesome thrift store scores from the summer.  All of the following came from either a thrift store, the Goodwill or Salvation Army.  Just another example of how you can achieve any look on a very minimal budget.
This is actually a bowl, I found a set of 6 at the Wacky Wednesday 1/2 off at the Salvation Army.
I got them for .50 a piece! I guess someone could drink a very large cup of coffee out of them, but we prefer to use them for soups and cereal.  :)  Love them!

These lamps were snatched up at a Goodwill, I got both of them for 6.00 for the pair.

They did have some chips in the paint and several scuffs.  I sanded them and painted them with an antique white then went over that with a pearl coat.  I love the way they turned out.

This little butter dish was found at the Salvation Army, (on Wednesday) I believe I paid about .99 for this and I just adore it.  I love the little cow on top.

Isn't that the cutest
This awesome french looking basket was found at the Salvation Army also for 1.99.
It is one of my favorites. I also got this pretty little vase, apparently I don't have a picture of it by itself but here is a close up of the beautiful detail on it.
I will have to post a better picture later, but I did only pay 1.99 for it. I know that I have gotten several other things.... like the quilt that is on the bed in the spare bedroom that I recently blogged about.. here it is if you have forgotten
I'm currently working on these....
I am in the painting process and I will show you when I'm all finished. Until later, have a great weekend.

Blessings to you,

  1. Sherry I love your blogs and your projects. Keep them coming!

  2. I love the butter dish, but my fav is the pair of lamps! You did an excellent job painting them and pearl finish is so chic!

  3. Thanks Kim!
I love those lamps too.... I'm not crazy about the shades... I have plans to change those :)
