I'm tired, I'm worn, my heart is heavy from the work it takes to keepon breathing.....

That is a quote from one of my favorite songs by Tenth Avenue North.  It has been a little while since I last posted but things have been crazy here.  That song expresses exactly how I feel.  I live in Moore, OK and for those who may not know, we have been repeatedly hammered by tornadoes since May 20th.  I am one of the "lucky" blessed ones.  My youngest son walked away from this (Briarwood Elementary) without a scratch.  briarwood

I Thank God for His teacher who advised to move the children from the hallway and into the bathrooms.... the hallway was blown out. photo (14)

Our home is 5 blocks south of this and only sustained slight fence and roof damage.  We are unbelievably grateful that we all survived this day, but our hearts ache for the families who lost a loved one.  So many people's lives have been "blown all over" and many have nothing left to call their own.  I know this is an emotional post but I felt the need to explain and also to give thanks and ask for prayers for all those who have been going through this.

We can't get away from this, it is all around and will be like this for quite some time, the task of debris removal is overwhelming.  This past weekend I just had to do something to get my mind off all of the devastation and I will post that later.  I would ask that if you would like to donate to help Oklahoma that you do it with the American Red Cross and be sure to designate that it is for Oklahoma.  They are doing good things here.photo (13) photo (16)

Hold your family close and leave no word unsaid, you never know what tomorrow will bring.

God Bless
